Theological Basis In our endeavor to seek "the welfare of the city" and to reach "all areas of society in the city with the Gospel", we inevitably run into central theological questions. These concern our understanding of the Kingdom of God and its transforming power, the practice of evangelism, prayer for the city, or the quest for unity, but also questions regarding political ethics or business ethics.
All these topics are relevant and are discussed controversially by Christians. In the scope of our initiative GfB we do not want to simply be party-liners for certain theological viewpoints, denominations or styles of religious piety. Rather, we strive in all our meetings, seminars and conferences to discuss on a Biblical basis with those holding various theological positions.
We see ourselves as a "fellowship of learners" who are willing time and again to reconsider, broaden, or correct our own theological foundations and the practical steps for putting our beliefs and ideas into action.
Through future publications we are planning to make our own deep-rooted viewpoints and collective experiences accessible to a larger segment of the public.
